These Featured Projects have been selected from many of Astral's recently-completed and ongoing projects to provide a glimpse of the diversity of facilities Astral builds and the diversity of its clients.
WFP Warehouses
The United Nations' World Food Program has been instrumental in providing food security to the under-privileged people of the country, especially the internally displaced persons and the afghan refuges. To this end, it is building large new facilities spread across the country for warehousing food and related life safety equipment. Astral was awarded the construction of two of the earliest ones in this program in Peshawar and Hyderabad.
Each of these facilities consist of large prefabricated warehouses, concrete paved aprons and parking, security measures and all external roads and utilities. Each compound is secured with a boundary wall along with guard towers and high-beams lights. The facility lighting is provided using solar-powered LED lights. The project also required construction of access road to the facility from the nearest main highway.
Astral completed the project in the allocated time with minimum involvement of the client during the construction phase. The project consultant was Nespak.
