Guard (PCG) for the purpose of countering drug trafficking and illegal
activities along the Makran Coast, roughly covering a stretch from
Karachi up to the Iranian border on the west edge of the country. The
main structure of the tower was a weather proof observation post
constructed on top of a 100-feet high galvanized steel self-supported
tower. Each facility‟s size was approximately 23,000 square feet,
enclosed via a 9 feet high boundary wall topped with a 3 feet-loop
galvanized concertina wire along with limited entry control measures.
The whole site was powered with a solar powerhouse. A large battery
and storage room accommodated the solar power batteries with the
roof being used for the installation of the solar panels. Concrete road
works were also included within the compound.
